3rd Annual Conference, Global Health and Economic Strengthening in Sub-Saharan Africa – February 8, 2018

On February 8th, 2018 Brown School, Washington University in Saint Louis held the
3rd Annual Conference, Global Adolescent Health and Economic Strengthening in Sub-Saharan Africa.

For the past three years (since 2014), the Global Perspectives on Adolescent Health and Economic Strengthening conference has provided a forum for exchange, dissemination, and development of innovative economic strengthening and behavioral health research in sub-Saharan Africa. The conference brings together researchers, practitioners, academics, and programmers to exchange ideas, showcase evidence, share lessons learned from field studies, and offer suggestions for future research. In addition, participants discuss the future of economic strengthening and behavioral health programs in low-resource communities, especially communities affected by poverty and disease, including HIV/AIDS, and children in emergency situations. Conference proceedings are widely disseminated, to influence future policy and programming.
