Dr. Nixon Niyonzima
Dr. Niyonzima holds a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Washington in Seattle and a medical degree from the College of Health Sciences at Makerere University in Uganda. His areas of interest include molecular diagnostics, genomics, and genetic epidemiology. Dr. Niyonzima is currently undertaking research describing the genetic and mutational profile of cancer in Uganda and is a collaborator on ICHAD’s NCI-funded R21, Suubi4Cancer. Dr. Niyonzima also teaches Oncology and Virology at the College of Health Sciences, Makerere University.
