Ssewamala, Nabunya named 2025 SSWR Fellows

Congratulations to ICHAD’s Co-directors, Drs. Fred Ssewamala and Proscovia Nabunya, who were recently inducted into the 2025 Class of Fellows of the Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR). The fellowship honors members for their individual accomplishments, leadership, and contributions to SSWR’s scientific society. Fellows are members who have served with distinction to advance the mission of the Society — to advance, disseminate, and translate research that addresses issues of social work practice and policy and promotes a diverse, equitable, and just society. ICHAD’s faculty affiliates, Dr. Mary McKay, the Executive Vice Provost at WashU, and Dr. Susan Witte, Professor of Social Work at Columbia University, were also named SSWR fellows. The Class of 2025 was inducted at the SSWR Annual Conference on January 18, 2025, in Seattle, Washington.
