Suubi4STEM is a four-year (2020-2024) signature program funded by MillaporeSigma and Merck focused on advancing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education in Africa. The overall goal of this project is to increase the number of children who transition from primary school to secondary school, and increase the STEM-related knowledge and skills of all students who make this transition. The program will support poor school-going girls and boys with financial incentives to motivate them to stay in school and thus, engage with STEM learning opportunities, while at the same time integrating efforts towards the strengthening of the delivery of the STEM curriculum via science teachers training/mentorship.
